Japan’s Yokogawa launches OpreX Carbon Footprint Tracer to drive decarbonisation in process manufacturing industries

Tokyo-based Yokogawa Electric Corporation, a provider of industrial automation and test and measurement solutions, has introduced OpreX Carbon Footprint Tracer, a new addition to its OpreX Transformation lineup.

OpreX is Yokogawa’s brand for industrial automation and control, representing “excellence” in technologies and solutions co-created with customers.

It is part of the OpreX Transformation category, focusing on operational “excellence” across production, supply chain optimisation, and risk and business management.

What is the OpreX Carbon Footprint Tracer?

OpreX Carbon Footprint Tracer is a cloud service designed for process manufacturing industries, offering CO2 emissions calculations based on data from instrumentation systems. 

It includes a consultation service for formulating strategies to calculate and reduce emissions, providing a comprehensive solution. 

The service achieves integration with SAP Sustainability Footprint Management service and ERP solutions, a world-first linkage that allows visualisation and management of product carbon footprint (PCF) based on European standards. 

This empowers companies in the process manufacturing industries to both visualise and manage their PCF.
