Everything you need to know about the new Fund

Paine Schwartz Partners’ Fund VI attracted a diverse group of investors, including pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, endowments/foundations, family offices, and other institutional investors, demonstrating strong support for sustainable food chain investing.

According to Paine Schwartz, this fund is the largest of its kind, focusing on investments across the entire food and agribusiness value chain.

Fund VI is exclusively dedicated to sustainable investments in the food and agribusiness sector. The firm has already deployed approximately 40 per cent of the fund’s capital, with investments in companies like AgroFresh Solutions, Costa Group, Elemental Enzymes, HGS BioScience, and Monterey Mushrooms.

Paine Schwartz, through Fund VI, will continue seeking investment opportunities centred on two key themes: productivity and sustainability in agriculture; and promoting health and wellness by supporting businesses offering healthier and safer food options.

Through Fund VI, Paine Schwartz Partners plans to incorporate its robust ESG platform into investments, aligning growth objectives with responsible and sustainable practices.

Kevin Schwartz, CEO of Paine Schwartz says, “With Fund VI, we are continuing to invest to feed a growing population better food with more efficient use of resources. Food and agribusiness has been the fastest-growing sector for more than 15 years and continues to be underserved by the investment community.”

“Guided by our core themes, we are targeting investments in segments associated with long-term growth that have limited commodity exposure and limited private equity competition.

“We look forward to leveraging our deep knowledge, industry relationships and thesis-driven approach to capture the numerous attractive value creation opportunities we see ahead,” adds Schwartz.

Paine Schwartz manages $5.7B in assets with a dedicated team of over 60 experts, working cohesively to execute effective investment strategies.
