Amsterdam’s Carbon Equity secures €6M to boost climate tech investments

Amsterdam-based Carbon Equity, a pioneering climate venture capital and private equity fund platform, has secured €6M in a Series A round of funding. This round brings the company’s total raised capital to €9M.

Since its last funding round in 2022, Carbon Equity claims to have experienced significant growth, with a 300 per cent increase in assets under management (AUM) and a 100 per cent rise in its user base.

Sustainable investments

Carbon Equity is a venture-backed alternative investment platform operating in Europe, aiming to mobilise billions from individual investors to tackle global challenges, starting with climate change.

The company enables small investments in leading climate venture capital and growth equity funds, allowing investors to support diverse climate technology companies, including large-scale batteries and carbon-free cement.

So far, over 550 investors have trusted Carbon Equity, investing over €150M through its platform.

Jacqueline van den Ende, co-founder and CEO of Carbon Equity says, “We are seeing a generational shift in our perspective on money — from money purely as a goal in itself to money as a means to help solve global challenges and generate financial returns.”

“Carbon Equity unlocks the capital of individuals so they can help fund the innovations needed to solve climate change and become part-owners of the net zero economy.”

“Private market investments can offer more impact than ESG stocks and our fund of funds allows individuals to tap into a portfolio of fast-growing climate tech companies,” adds van den Ende.

With 40 years of expertise, Carbon Equity curates funds like Koloma and Form Energy, offering tangible climate solutions and attractive returns for investors.
